The support included a professional recording camera, a digital camera, tripods, a photo printer and storage discs, for Mergita’s business.
This ambitious young woman is also a freshman at the Faculty of Education in Gjakovë/Djakovica and is involved in various youth activities as a volunteer.
She takes much pride in her work and does it with a lot of confidence even though most of her competitors in town are predominantly male.
Margita’s hard work has paid off, as she now receives requests for video recording services from other municipalities as well, such as Prizren and Rahovec/Orahovac.
Besides helping raise awareness and breaking gender stereotypes of women’s involvement in the information and communication technology (ICT), the new equipment delivered by IOM will help the beneficiary be more competitive in the market and improve socio-economic living conditions for her entire family.
Funded by the European Union Office in Kosovo, co-financed by the Ministry of Communities and Return (MCR) and implemented by the International Organization for Migration (IOM), the EU-CSP-IV Program provides support to 38 municipalities in Kosovo.
