Human Rights and the Rule of Law are the Basis of the OSCE Mission's Work in Kosovo

This has entailed monitoring and reporting on the justice system, making sure the laws are compliant with human rights standards and that the courts apply and observe those standards. From 1999 to date, the Mission has monitored around 24 000 court cases involving around 35 000 hearings, and produced more than 120 public reports and reviews on criminal, civil and administrative justice system in Kosovo. It has also conducted reviews and provided comments to around 320 pieces of legislation including draft laws, draft sub-legal acts, concept documents, policy papers and strategies. The Mission is proud of two important rule of law institutions it has established: the Kosovo Academy of Justice and the Ombudsperson Institution. Read more at: http://bit.ly/2QdKPU0
