BACKGROUND OF THE DIALOGUE ACADEMY FOR YOUNG WOMEN

The DA is an annual programme organized by the OSCE Mission in Kosovo and the OSCE Mission to Serbia, which brings together young women from Prishtinë/Priština and Belgrade. At the DA, participants get the opportunity to broaden their knowledge on the issues related to dialogue, peacebuilding, and women in politics by interacting and exchanging with prominent speakers and renowned professionals. After completing this programme, participants become members of the DA Alumnae Network, which currently has more than 180 members. Many young women from the Network, from both societies, have been inspired over the years by the DA to collaborate and work on solutions to shared societal problems.

The DA Alumnae Network regularly supports initiatives aimed at further promoting DA values, such as gender equality, dialogue and peacebuilding, women participation in dialogue, policy-making and decision-making processes across communities and societies.
